Welcome to the Music Ministries Department at Avondale United Methodist Church! It is our hope that everyone who participates in the music ministries program is challenged to grown in Christ and to experience God's unconditional love through the lvoe of music that we all share.
Whether you are a professional musician or just a lover of music, we have a place for you! Please take a moment to review the many programs we have to offer and to prayerfully consider what God would have you do with the musical gift that has been given to you.
Chancel Choir
Wednesdays, 7-8:30 pm in the Music Room
The Chancel Choir is made up of a group of people who love to sing. Some have training in music, some sing only in the shower, and some can barely read a note, but they all love to make music. Along with making music, they love to lead and serve the congregation in worship.
Rehearsal is held at 7 pm on Wednesday evenings in the Music room. The Chancel Choir sings at the 11 am worship service each Sunday. Childcare is provided by reservation.
There are many great reasons to join--so come and join us, use your God given talent and be prepared to make friends and have tons of fun!
You do not have to be a church member or have perfect pitch; you don't have to audition, but your commitment is to come to an hour and a half rehearsal on Wednesday evenings and one service on Sunday.
